Before joining BioMeridian, Mrs. Soechtig was the CEO and Chairman of the Board for FutureSmart, a Salt Lake City, Utah based company. FutureSmart is primarily involved with providing structured wiring solutions for new home construction. A FutureSmart system consists of a multi-function panel that controls and distributes low voltage services throughout the home, integrating home security, data, cable and satellite television, telephony, video, audio, lighting control and HVAC controls. In three years as CEO at FutureSmart, Mrs. Soechtig led the company to profitability for the first time in its history and was instrumental in negotiating the subsequent acquisition of FutureSmart by Honeywell International.

Prior to joining FutureSmart, Mrs. Soechtig also served for four years as President and CEO of Lasergate Systems, Inc. (LSi), a leader in software for the ticket industry. During her tenure, the company showed a quarterly profit for the first time since being formed. During the process of the financial turnaround of the company, Mrs. Soechtig orchestrated the design, development, and deployment of a Windows based product that later become the leader in the ticketing industry.

She was President and CEO of Precision Systems, Inc. (PSi), a leading supplier of integrated, interactive voice response and call processing systems. She also spent time as Vice President for both MCI and Sprint. Mrs. Soechtig served in technical and sales positions with IBM for thirteen years, where she was the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding performance.

Mrs. Soechtig holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the College of New Rochelle and an MA in International Relations from the University of Southern California where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is also an Alumni of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business with certification in Strategic Uses of Information Technologies.
